Engineered flooring is a new trend. T.V.V. Engineered flooring has two layers. Top layer is Oak flooring with thickness of 4mm. Bottom layer is plywood or finger joint solid wooden flooring.
This structure makes T.V.V.¡¯ Engineered floorings are wider and longer but save more forest resources.
T.V.V.¡¯S engineered flooring is different from traditional engineered flooring who has thin veneer as surface, surface of T.V.V.¡¯s engineered flooring can be sanded.
When wooden flooring pieces are wider and longer, shrink and extend will happen easily. To solve this problem, timber for engineered flooring will be boiled within hot water for a long time. It can reduce shrink and extend obviously at the same time insects and their eggs are killed too.
Engineered floorings can have same finished as solid wooden flooring. There are UV Oiled, UV Lacquered, natural oiled, stained colour, smoked, brushed and hand scraped finish etc.
