Production of wood flooring starts with timbers. In Russia, the commercial forest supply wood with extra hardness caused by a very cold climate and different natural characteristics on the timbers aged for decades. Besides imported timbers, local wood in China is an alternative during the low seasons in Russia. Oak, birch and maple are popular wood types for solid wood flooring, engineered flooring, parquet flooring and finger joint flooring.
 
 
 

Timbers are cut into various sizes of planks in our mill and kiln-dried in a chamber where it is heated to about 70oC for sanitization and the moisture content is controlled to match indoor end-use conditions. The period for this artificial seasoning varies with types of wood, seasons of the year and pre-condition of the wood.
After Kiln-drying, the planks are more stable and uniform so warping and twisting is minimized. Defective planks are taken out while complete planks are sent for further cutting, sanding and processing.

  

The wooden board is put into planer for 4 side planning and tongue and groove processing. The board is cut from all four sides simultaneously to increase the efficiency of production and to obtain precise dimensions with highest quality of sur-face finish. The widths of the board can be adjusted in accordance with different styles of flooring, 82.6mm, 90mm, 120mm and 150mm.
   

In order to get rid of defects and make the surface smoother for processing, the cut planks will go through a rough sander where each piece of flooring will be sanded several times before processing.

   

When the flooring enters the production line, it will be sanded again to give a finer surface for lacquer finish or oil finish. Dust collectors will be used along the production line to remove the dust so that no dust is trapped in the lacquer or oil layer on the flooring surface and thereby prevent the formation of bobbies.
   

Staining is a vital step in production. Primer paint will be used to ensure strong adsorption of paint to the UV lacquer, UV oil or natural oil before staining the floor boards. After staining, the flooring will show an antique style with more visible veins and grains.
   

Quality check will be performed along the production line to make sure each piece of flooring is processed properly. Any defective piece will be repaired with putty, fine sanding and re-processing.
   

Paint, lacquer or oil on the flooring surface is eventually dried by UV light.
   

Finished flooring will be classified into three grades, Select, Natural and Rustic, according to its natural appearance. Flooring of various length and colours will be sorted and packed to minimize variation among each box of flooring. After packing, we will perform final on site inspection to ensure the high quality of our products.
   

Before delivery, cartons are wrapped with poly bag to avoid moisture absorption and then put on fumigated wooden pallets for easy handling. Pallet sizes and packing can be customized based on customersĄŻ requests.

 
     
  Time of main process
Kiln-drying is the most effective and widely used way to control moisture content within wooden flooring. Moisture content within timber and size of timber will affect the time of Kiln drying. Normally timbers will be dried for 25days to achieve standard moisture content.

After kiln-drying, the timber will be put in the air for 10 days to balance moisture content. During this period inspectors will check moisture content within flooring again to guarantee standard moisture content.

UV light is used to quicken the process of production. Some complex finish for high-class wooden flooring will take longer time.

When making antique wooden flooring, workers use special tools to scrape the surface of floor boards one by one.

When creating volcanic wooden flooring, skilled workers spray fire onto the floor board surface by hands to create the volcanic effect.

Natural Oil will be added to the wooden flooring surface by hands and then open air dried.

Length of wooden flooring

Colour of wooden flooring
You can choose both natural colour and stained when you choose wooden floorings. Natural colour does not use colour in the oil or lacquer. It is warm and can reflect the natural essence of wooden flooring itself. Stain colour can bring uniform look to wooden floorings. Colour of wooden floorings can be customized.
